Adult chin acne please help!!?

Okay some I am 22 years old, female, healthy diet, exercise. I had fairly clear skin as a teenager and the past year or so I've been plagued with horrible acne on my chin. There are certain times of the month that it is A LITTLE clear, maybe only a few small zits, then other times I break out with at least one giant cysts and about 5 other pustules or blackheads and whiteheads and even when the break out clears I have red marks all over( I NEVER PICK) and before they have a chance to fade I get another break out. I've tried it all, first I've tried all natural cleansers, didn't help. I've started birth control at first it seemed to reduce the amount of cystic acne but no significant changes have occured, I've been on it for 6 months. I tried using 2.5 benzyol peroxide and it ruined my skin, it felt like leather and it was really red and itchy, that was only applying it once a day, I stuck it out for a few weeks but I had to stop. I'm just so lost, I wash my face once a day, twice when I work out, use toner and moisturize. I don't know what else to do, I'm sick of having a chin full of acne, it sucks :(Adult chin acne please help!!?
Sounds like it's time to go to the dermatologist-it probably won't take very many visits either.

Do any adults suffer from acne on back and shoulders?

I'm a 36 year old female, and I periodically suffer from large, painful pimples on my upper back.

What is strange is that I don't always have it. I will sometimes go for months without a single one, and then I'll get one, and then another, and another, until my whole back is broken out.

This has been happening since I was an adolescent, and I have tried for years to determine the cause.

This may sound strange, but I really think that they are related to depression, and un-happiness, because that seems to be the only time I suffer from them.

Any experience or thoughts on this matter?

Thank you.Do any adults suffer from acne on back and shoulders?
Happens to me all the time. I'm female, 32 years old. I think you are on the right track with the cause. Everything you think turns into a chemical message from your brain. The chemicals are called neuropeptides and the combinations are all different. When you are depressed, it's hard to think positively and those negative thoughts turn into nasty neuropeptides that communicate directly with your immune system.

Stress reduction is important but in keeping with the spirit of the site (long answers can really suck %26amp; be boring to read) I'll tell you my favorite quick-fix: Murad acne spot treatment. It's kind of expensive and comes in a little tube. Active ingredient is sulfur. They have a site Murad.com

Good luck! Eat a vegan diet, exercise and do some form of meditation every day, %26amp; get 7-8 hours of sleep per night.Do any adults suffer from acne on back and shoulders?
hye...i suggest you to go clinic...
i find that a good exfoliation works to an extent--a loofa (on a stick) with neutragena body wash
Could be a staph infection.

Change your sheets regularly (ie %26gt; once per week), and scrub your back with a back brush. Not too hard, though. Just enough to clean the area.

Try using the Mary Kay acne gel on the spots. The stuff is awesome! Find a rep in your area by going to the official site - Mary Kay.com. It will show you how to find a rep in your area. Not expensive, free delivery and a 100 % money-back guarantee. (Plus you can see the prods and their prices). No having to mail anything back. Just call your rep and she will give you THE best personalized service you could hope to get.

Caution-- ONLY use the official site to locate someone. Some of these other sites sell expired, stolen or maybe fake (?) Mary Kay products..

I'd give you my MK website, but I don't want it plastered on the net!

Treatment for adult onset acne (Rosacea)?

I've battled rosacea for years and my dr put me on Metrogel, which seemed to just make my face worse.

He changed me to 100mg tetracycline once a day about a month ago. My face is completely clear, however I have a couple of questions for those that might know:

1. My face has a ruddy kind of look to it. Anyone else on this treatment experienced this?

2. I just feel kind of tired and slightly crappy all the time since he put me on it. Is that normal?

I hate to change because this has been the first thing that has worked, but am worried about side effects from long term use. Anybody else on this treatment?Treatment for adult onset acne (Rosacea)?
Try Proactive, it helps just about every acne issue and has been proven to work on really hard cases.

I do not know of anyting else. sorryTreatment for adult onset acne (Rosacea)?
I've had adult acne for yrs %26amp; now I'm getting rosacea, w/ enlarged nose swelling-- that is just supposed to occur in men according to my book, but I'm female, probably too much male hormones in my body? I give up on what's not worked %26amp; am trying all the vitamins I don't get because of the junk I eat/stress etc. Here's what I've just researched %26amp; been reading. A book called ';Prescription for Nutritional Healing.'; It's huge %26amp; there's a newer version out $20-30 in stores or try amazon.com %26amp; half.ebay.com -- may be cheaper. Probably, the best 1st thing is a cleanse all Vitamin stores %26amp; Walmart has them. Just think of all the chemicals from processed foods %26amp; antibiotics we put in. See, antibiotics kill good %26amp; bad bacteria in our body. It makes sense to clean out 1st. You will go to the bathroom more, but I'm not talkin uncontrollably. Take a Vit B Complex (that has all the different B's you need), Vit A, VitC, (can give you the runs decrease til you see what your body needs),Vit E, Acidopholus (it's like eating a ton of yogurt %26amp; must be kept in frig), L Lyseine (the book lists L Cysteine, so I'll switch when I run out) (L Lyseine is for cold sores too), Evening Primrose Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Kelp, Gotu Kola (that one'll make you gain weight), Biotin, Potassium, %26amp; Zinc. Most of the multi vit's I've checked unless are from a pharmacy maybe, like The Medicinne Shoppe do not have enough of these to put a dent in my face, no pun intended! And, I'm sick of it, this is a battle I now intend to win. I can't stand looking in the mirror! I know this sounds like a lot but Puritans Pride has a catalog that's cheap, 1st time buyers get a reduced prices, s/h is $4.50 never increases, B1G2 etc, sales often, %26amp; they have Vitamin World stores in Malls. Follow the doses on the bottle. Except, the Gotu Kola supplement was listed in ';First'; mag %26amp; says they've now found up to 3,000 mg a day will repair skin quickly. So, I take 3- 250 mg pills 3X a day, when results are reached drop to 250-500. The Biotin my friend says her relative works in the med field %26amp; says Biotin also repairs. I've only been faithfully doing this for 1 wk, knock on wood I woke up today %26amp; my skin seems brighter %26amp; clearer. I'm taking other things too, for poison ivy pms etc. Most of what I've listed are all the same supplements listed under: Rosacea, Oily sin %26amp; Acne. Also, the Vit B will give you energy, I'm taking a time release form. Check w/ your md 1st if possible.

Email me anytime if you want. P S Just skimmed your answers it's true the book says acne/ rosacea is a way for your body telling you somethings wrong on the inside.
If it works for you, I'm very happy. I never used what you had prescribed. Maybe you're right, you shouldn't change the treatment after all this time when you finally found something that really works for you.

If you want, you can read an article I've wrote about ClearPores you can find it here:

Did you know you must also fight skin problems from the inside, not just from the outside? When there is skin problem, there is a problem from inside our body.

To heal things long-term you need to take care of your health, the skin will take care of itself when our body is okay inside, believe me on this.

I help people with special program I invented. For last few years I've only had positive results. This is a special treatment.

Long story short. When someone changes their lifestyle, everything from diet to stress, from working habits to relaxation, when you balance your body energies you become very healthy. And your skin shines. I had many health and skin problems many years ago. But after I changed my lifestyle everything disappeared. After a few years of research what happened with me, I could understand how things work inside our body... How our skin works too.

If however you chose to try and help your skin from inside and outside, with the best acne treatment on the market, read this article:

Best Wishes to you,

Adult acne?

i had my daughter 8 weeks ago and whilst pregnant with her i got adult acne which i still have and is getting worse. The doctor saids it was caused by the hobrmones during pregnancy.I have it on my chest and back and the doc says they are now infected.2 weeks ago she gave me antibotics but they have done no good.I am going back to see her thursday.

Does anyone have any tips or advice for getting rid of it?Adult acne?
There is a lot you can do, but if you are breastfeeding you should talk to your doctor first.

Vitamin A is excellent. Fewer refined sugars, caffeine and dairy could help too. Exfoliate a few times a week, change your bedding frequently and try to keep your fingers away from the acne. That spreads it and could contribute to the infection.Adult acne?
Ask for Quinaderm cream, stings a little but it works. Sorry but you can only get it on prescription.
I had really bad acne too throughout my pregnancy and what makes it worse is that theres hardly anything you're allowed to take whilst pregnant!! However, about 6 weeks after having my baby, I went onto the contraceptive pill Dianette. I have just finished my six months worth and although they won't prescribe me the same pill again, it has been brilliant and my skin is no where near as bad as it was. I always make sure i drink loads of water throughout the day - im sure this has helped too. I know this may not work for everyone but i really hope you find something that helps beacause i know how depressing it feels - it also takes a while for your hormones to return to normal. Good Luck x

  • Adult Acne?

I have never had bad skin. I went all through high school and my early 20's with NO pimples. I am now 28 and my skin is HORRIBLE. It's embarassing, and makes me feel ugly. It only began about a year ago. I started using Proactiv, and it worked for about 6 months, now it doesn't work anymore. I have never had to deal with this before and I hate it. I don't know what could possibly be causing these break outs. Any advice would be helpful. Also, if anyone has had this sort of problem with Proactiv, I'd like to know if I am the only one!

    Thanks!!Adult Acne?
Stress and other physical conditions can make your skin to break out. It will not hurt to check with your doctor and make sure there aren't any other health problems.Adult Acne?
Acne Free庐 is significantly better than Pro Activ. I recommend using it, i do, and it has great results!
I suggest you to go for natural one; others definitely have side effects. A good face pack of neem leaves with a pinch of turmeric is very good for acne prone skin. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Here are some things about acne and some products?
If the proactive worked at first but quit gradually I would recommend ordering the Extra Strength System from them. They do not advertise that they have it so you have to ask for it!

Lately I've been using Neurtogena Acne Stress Control cleanser, in combination with OxyClean Extra Strength Cleansing Pads followed by Proactives Lotion and have had Great Success!! Do this routine both A.M. %26amp; P.M. - Hope this helps -

Is there an EFFECTIVE over-the-counter or home remedy treatment for adult acne?

I have tried Proactiv and AcneFree and Clearasil and Biore and Clean%26amp;Clear and Neutrogena. None of them worked after months of use. I am 23 and have had acne since I was 11. My insurance doesn't cover acne medication and it's really expensive, so that's not an option, unfortunately. My acne is severe, sometimes the pimples get so inflamed that they are more like a cyst and really painful. If I have one on my chin or around my mouth I cannot open my mouth all the way because the acne hurts so much. Do you know of an over-the-counter or home remedy for adult acne? Where can I find it and how expensive is it?Is there an EFFECTIVE over-the-counter or home remedy treatment for adult acne?
Cystic type acne really does require an antibiotic but the ones that are normally prescribed are fairly inexpensive if you request generic.

I have been able to control pimples but not the cystic type acne with home remedies. Is there an EFFECTIVE over-the-counter or home remedy treatment for adult acne?
Im not sure that over the counter applications are very effective. I had acne as a teenager and the only treatments that worked for me were those prescribed by a doctor. I think it needs to be a powerful drug or lotion to get totally rid of it. Im not sure whether what you eat might make the condition worse. I'll have a look in my 'healthy eating' book and let you know if I find anything!
    I'm sorry.

Try Homoeopathy first. it will not be nearly as expensive and the practitioner will get to the base cause - maybe your liver.

Try acupuncture - this can be a very effective alternative.

I wish you all success - acne is a curse. But can be overcome.

Some great actors have had acne. And seem to have dealt with the problem.
for some zits, i put toothpaste or deoderant on it and it dries up and shrinks throughout the day and night

    hope this helps!
try taking toms,,and dont eat tomatoes. sounds like something is breaking you out.

What over-the-counter products are best for diminishing scars from adult acne & preventing breakouts?

I've had acne since I was about 11 %26amp; I'm 29 now. I have some scarring %26amp; frequent mild breakouts. What over-the-counter products are tried %26amp; true for clearing scars %26amp; breakouts?

I've used Proactiv, Clinique's Acne Solutions, Acne Free, %26amp; a handful of products from Clean %26amp; Clear, Oxy, %26amp; Neutrogena %26amp; nothing seemed to help for very long. Some products would help breakouts for a couple weeks, but my acne would always come back.

So, what out there works the best? What over-the-counter products are best for diminishing scars from adult acne %26amp; preventing breakouts?
This is hands down the best I have ever used. I also work in cosmetics and it is the number one seller (over the counter, proactive is actually #1) it is called Murad and it takes care of breakouts over night and also has exfoliators to help slough off dead skin, which in turn will help with scarring.

Link below. What over-the-counter products are best for diminishing scars from adult acne %26amp; preventing breakouts?
Not much you can do for acne scars, OTC wise.
