I have had acne for 18 years - it started when I was about 10 and has never gone away. I've tried almost everything from A-Z. Doctors have prescribed me antibiotics which I do not wish to take long term, and given me creams that make my skin burn %26amp; peel. I have tried almost everything they sell on TV and everything you can buy over the counter.
If anyone has NATURALLY and SUCCESSFULLY gotten rid of, reduced or controlled their acne, I would love to hear about it. I am not interested in buying any more 'cures'. They do not work. I am interested in natural ways to reduce my acne at home; without doctors, pills, skin burning creams, monthly shipments of cleansers that do not work, or ridiculous books that claim you can clear it up in 3 days by eating only one food then giving yourself and enema (YUCK!). I am looking for supplements, techniques, foods, etc. - a long term way, a way to actually make it better.
I hope there is someone out there who has figured it out!Has anyone naturally %26amp; successfully gottren rid of their adult acne?
you HAVE to check out acne.org...it is a GOD SEND!! i've had acne for years, went to dermatologists, tried EVERYTHING...prescription, pro active, cheap %26amp; expensive products!...i've been on 'the regemin' for about 2 and 1/2 weeks now and my skin is looking AMAZING! the best it has in YEARS, by far (i'm 23!)! I still can't believe how cheap, simple %26amp; fantastic it is! you don't need to buy specific products from the website or anything...you can if you want...just check it out...definitely worth the time...it's just...amazing..gosh! i don't even know what else to say!!!
I personally use Purpose (Johnson %26amp; Johnson) cleanser, 2.5% BP gel (only product i ordered from acne.org, just because it comes in a much larger quantity than you can buy in a store AND at a much better price), and 24 hour moisturizing lotion from Johnson %26amp; Johnson. You really only need about a nickel sized amount of the lotion. I'd recommend using a translucent powder after moisturizing, as the lotion makes my face look a little greasy at first (i use Physicians Formula) or you can just let it dry up (it will eventually), if you have the patience to wait for it to go away on it's own.
I try to stick with J%26amp;J products, other than the BP of course, as opposed to others, as they are gentle enough to use on my SENSITIVE-breaks out from anything-skin!
I can not possibly praise it enough. There is no way you will regret it!! Check out 'what to expect' on the website - it really, truley helped me. Be patient and follow the regemin to the T. I can't believe i spent so long suffering.
I have posted this response more times than i can count to acne related questions. I could honestly CRY talking about what a difference it has made. Please try it out. It will change your life.Has anyone naturally %26amp; successfully gottren rid of their adult acne?
I haven't suffered from acne, and I know you said you've tried everything, so this might just be redundant for you, but I did have a friend who had severe acne for years and tried a lot of things that didn't work. Then I hadn't seen her in a while and when we ran into each other I almost didn't recognize her. She had been using pro-active. (I think that's what it's called.) Her skin looked SOO good, you wouldn't have even known she'd ever had acne. Maybe it depends on the person and skin type though, sorry if it's something you've already tried and this isn't helpful!!
Yeah I have/had adult acne, but keeping your skin clean and oil free is the best way to do this. I use sulfur based soap and sulfur based creams when things start to get out of hand. Sulfur is a natural anti-biotic and cleansing agent.
Don't use oily soaps (such as Dove), oily face creams or oil based make-up. I am a man and don't use make-up, but I seem to remember that there are natural mineral based make-up that can be purchased at most stores.

For the person who told you ProActive works, they are correct. ProActive's active ingredients are Sulfur and Peroxide. You can achieve the same results much cheaper.
Believe it or not the saying, 'you are what you eat' is very true. Your skin condition may be a direct result of what you are putting in your body. Here are a few suggestions that you could use. Cut out chocolate and carbonated beverages. Cut out fast food, greasy foods and fried foods. Decrease your intake of foods with acid and citrus in them. Eat more vegetables. Especially those that have vitamin E. This vitamin is good for your hair and skin. Increase your water intake to 6-8 glasses a day. This helps to flush impurities out of your system. Make sure you are eating a healthy balanced diet everyday. You don't mention how bad your acne condition is but for an occasional pimple or two you can use a dab of toothpaste on the pimple(s) at night. Toothpaste does not burn and it usually works for a few scattered pimples. All of these natural cures are good for your health in general. You should see a difference in your skin in 3 to 4 weeks. If you are willing to follow this let me know the results. I would love to hear how this worked for you. You can contact my email address or my yahoo address.
