What does it mean when you have adult acne?

I am 35 and have had acne consistently from the time I was a teenager. I've heard somewhere that acne on different areas on your body can mean different problems. I have very large inflamed pimples around my waist and on my breasts. Also in the middle of my cheeks but not so much on the rest of my face. It always increases in the week before my period. What does this mean? I've asked doctors about it w/out much of a response. What can I do about clearing it up? And please don't give me diet or hygeine advice. Been there. What does it mean when you have adult acne?
It can sometimes mean a hormone imbalance such as due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have had a problem with adult acne in the past as one of many symptoms that turned out to be related to this hormone imbalance Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Ask your doctor about the possibility of a hormone imbalance.

You just have bad skin.
use ivory soap and dont buy the $200 crap the doctor prescribes, I been there and done that. I even had an allergic reaction to the bezo garbage and the doctor charged me another $35 to tell me to stop using the $200 worth of cleaning stuff, gave me another $52 prescription for a new creme. I chunked them all use only ivory soap and unscented shampoo and conditioner.
eating too much junk food. cut back a little it should help.
You've high levels of male hormones and/or low levels of female hormones.
It sounds like your problem has to do with nothing else but hormones!!!!!!! You may need to get a hormonal level drawn at your gyn. or primary care doctors office. If your hormones are out of whack, they can level them out! Not only will it cure most of your acne problems, but it will make you feel better in general! If you need a great product to help get rid of your acne, my daughter uses Proactive. She has had bad acne in the past, and this works pretty quick for her, usually by the next week, it is barely noticeable! If you have already tried this product, use Peroxide, this is what I use, and it works for me! After I clean my face at night, I use a Peroxide soaked q-tip and get in the creases of my nose and chin. Then I get a soaked cotton ball and run it over my face and nose, I do a little more vigorous on the problem areas! You can also use Peroxide and Proactive on areas other than your face, like in your case, on your waist and breasts, but not your nipples of course, I am sure you know that! I hope this helps some, maybe the hormones will fix it and you won't have to worry about it any more!!! Good Luck To You!!!!!!!!!!
try proactive my friend use to have the worst acne ever but now its cleared she is preety oh and sumtimes proactive makes it worse b4 it gets hell better
there are these pills, they are pretty strong as in the side-affects are pretty deep, for example you have to drink alot or your face will dry out, but these pills wil clear your face up under a month, and im talking about all of it, they work really good, but the side-affects are crazy.
